DREAMS FC vs LEGON CITIES

The lads from Dawu lie in 6th position after posting a draw, win and a loss in their opening fixtures. Their last game saw them lose all three points from a winning position against Karela. Marquee signing Joseph Esso set them on course to victory, only to be hampered by the fine form of Diawisie Taylor. Against Legon Cities, the challenge is different as the traveling side are yet to record a win this season. Some defensive grit will need to be imbibed into the ‘believers’ if they will take anything from this home fixture.

Legon Cities are yet to see a positive return from their investments from preseason. Asamoah Gyan’s introduction served as a boost for the side who sacked their coach and brought in coach Bashir Hayford. Expectations are huge as they travel to Dawu, a visit which is almost always uncomfortable for any team. Chances squandered in their last game against Medeama may come back to bite them if this run of form continues.

ELMINA SHARKS vs ADUANA STARS

Elmina Sharks will host Aduana stars in game week 4. The sharks overcame a tricky challenge in game week 3 as they shared the spoils with WAFA on the artificial turf in Sogakope. This season, Yaw Sarpong and his boys have not registered a win and will seek to kick start their season with a win against Aduana. Elmina sharks, who have only managed a draw in their three previous encounters with Aduana will be hoping to break the jinx in their next encounter. A win will take them further up the league as they seek to avoid a possible relegation dog fight later in the season.

Aduana stars are yet to hit the ground running this season. Both matches played have ended in a draw and a win away from home will be a great boost to their title challenge. In their title winning season in 2017, The Dormaa Ahenkro Boys managed to beat Elmina Sharks at their own backyard and will seek to take inspiration from the past as they come up against the Sharks at the Paa kwesi Nduom Stadium. Aduana will be well motivated coming into this game, as Elmina sharks have not won at home this season. The minimum of a draw will be their aspiration.

HEARTS OF OAK vs KARELA

Rock bottom Accra Hearts of Oak, are still looking for their first win of the season as they host an impressive Karela United, who sit atop the standings. Although they have an outstanding fixture against Aduana Stars, the fans are disgruntled with the team’s current performance. Management, however, has appointed former coach Kosta Papic, who led the rainbow team to their last league title in 2009 to take over from coach Odoom. Perhaps, his return will inspire the team. Papic’s return has been met with mixed reactions among fans with some saying it is a good move while others think otherwise.

Karela United will want to make the whole world know their position on the table is no fluke. With the likes of Diawisie Taylor leading their attack, the “Passioners” as they are called will not spare Hearts if they lose their guard. This fixture is going to be an end to end encounter as Karela will not want to surrender their lead at the top of the table just yet.

KING FAISAL vs INTER ALLIES

Free scoring King Faisal will meet a very solid Inter Allies side, come match week 4. The team has a lethal front with the likes of Kwame Preprah, who has been nicknamed “the defender’s nightmare”. Although their match week 3 fixture against Ashgold was postponed due to the latter’s participation in the CAF Confederations Cup, King Faisal have put in extra work to host and win against Inter Allies. This match will serve as a perfect message to say thank you to the Vice President of Ghana for gifting the team a brand-new bus. The players are in high spirits already as they prepare to play this game.

Inter Allies are coming into this game after securing a shock win over city rivals Hearts of Oak. They will prove a hard nut to crack as they literally nullified every attacking strategy from Hearts of Oak in their last game. Star man Richmond Lamptey and his teammates are expected to replicate the performance in their last fixture.

After losing to Ebusua Dwarfs in their previous match, star player, Emmanuel Clottey and his “blue army” are fired up to make their fans find their voices again as they search for their first win of the season.

Liberty Professionals haven’t lost a game yet but have drawn all three matches played so far. Godfred Atuahene, who as adjudged MOTM in their last game at home to Techiman Eleven Wonders has promised their fans that he and his teammates will silence the entire Berekum township with a solid win against Chelsea.

ELEVEN WONDERS vs WAFA

Techiman based side Eleven Wonders have been one of the surprise packages this season since holding Kumasi Asante Kotoko to a 1-1 draw in Match Day 1. They have remained unbeaten in the past two games and kept a clean sheet in their home game against Ebusua Dwarfs.

WAFA currently lie 5th on the Ghana Premier league table and are not far from league leaders Karela United. They are yet to win a game away from home after a draw and a loss in their previous away games of the season. Their average away form looks set to continue as they travel to Techiman to play Eleven Wonders.

OLYMPICS vs DWARFS

The Wonder club, Great Olympics have started the season on a wonderful note compared to previous seasons. Their confidence is sky high and will love to continue with the positive momentum. Their monumental statement was made when they trounced Legon Cities 3-1, not forgetting the opening day away draw at Medeama. They remain exciting and the likes of Gladson Awako will lead the team for points in this match.

The Cape Coasters have picked up 4 points so far this season. They had to rely on their goalkeeper to find an equalizer in their opening game of the season. Their defeat at the hands of Eleven Wonders will prove to be either a casual blip or a cause for concern for Dwarfs.
