KUMASI ASANTE KOTOKO VS MEDEAMA SC

The league leaders will welcome fwllow Premier League giants, Medeama. After grabbing their talisman Justice Blay, they face off to determine if Kotoko will extend their lead at the top of slip at the hands of the Westerners. Slip ups by their chasers King Faisal and Aduana Stars helped them as they also drew against Berekum Chelsea in match day 13. With Hearts of Oak slipping, an opportunity is presented for the porcupine warriors to stretch the gap between them and their arch-rivals. Justice Blay will be unveiled but will not be likely to play a part on Sunday

Medeama travel to Kotoko in a relatively healthy position on the league table, 4th. They would have done their chances a lot of good if they won in their last game against Olympics at home. Away from home, they have won 2, drawn 2, and lost 2, scored 2 goals in the process. Not encouraging, considering that Kotoko have scored 11 at home this season and are likely to score at home. Medeama will want to go within a point of Kotoko with a win.

ELMINA SHARKS VS BEREKUM CHELESA

With 7 points, 7 goals and 7 straight losses, Elmina Sharks have found themselves in sync with a sinkhole and within that spate of time, the Botwekumba boys have score exactly 0 goals and look to be headed only one way, which is the second tier of Ghana football. Toothless up front and slack at the back, they are one of only two teams yet to keep a clean sheet after 13 match days and also one of six teams with an expected goal (XG) of less than one. The last player to bag a Sharks goal was Justice Mensah, who has struggled with injuries ever since and looks likely to sit this one out too.

Berekum Chelsea are 14th on the table, 7 points adrift their host, with just one goal more scored. Their defense has been stalwart in games, covering up for their poor forwards. In fact, they are only one of two sides that have conceded only one goal at home. But it has been a gloomy story on the road, with 4 losses and 2 draws, they have won only one of their last 25 Premier League games. At the Nduom Sports Complex, the best results the guests have garnered in three visits is a draw noting how much of a nemesis Sharks have been in their hands. With both teams exhibiting porous forms this could go either way.

BIBIANI GOLD STARS VS LEGON CITIES

Goldstars will welcome Legon Cities to the Dun’s Park for a game week 14 fixture. They will be aiming to returning to winning ways after their defeat to fellow league debutants RTU, making it their 3rd straight defeat on the bounce. Picking up 3points out of a possible 18points in their last 6 matches, the Gye Nyame Boys are on the verge of dropping into the relegation zone if they don’t improve their performance and results quickly.

Out of Legon Cities’ 3 wins this season, two have been away from home; beating Elmina Sharks and in-form Dreams FC. Playing at the Dun’s Park will present a new challenge to the Legon Cities team and one they will be relishing to take on. Legon Cities lie 13th on the league table with 14 points and are a point above the relegation zone. A defeat for either of the teams could move them done the league table.

ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS VS KING FAISAL

Olympics will welcome King Faisal to the Accra Sports Stadium as the two teams lock horns in a game week 14 fixture. Olympics have not lost in their last 6 matches. Winning 2 and drawing 4. Scoring 5 goals in the process. They will need to turn these draws into wins to help improve their standing on the league table.

King Faisal was shocked at home as they suffered a 2:0 defeat at the hands of Karela United. The result leaves them 3rd on the league table with 23points. With two away victories for them in the bag already, King Faisal will fancy their chances against Olympics even though their opponent is yet to lose a home game this season. Both teams will have to give off their best if they are to take anything away from this game.
