Local News

Ghana Association of Parent Against Childhood Cancer in collaboration with First Lady Rebecca Akuffo-Addo Foundation has built and commissioned a 52-bed hostel facility for child cancer patients in Accra at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital.

The aim is to provide affordable accommodation for child cancer patients and caregivers who go to the hospital for diagnosis, interventions, and prognosis. It will serve as a safe haven for all children that may need to receive cancer treatment at the Korle-Bu hospital.

Rebecca Akuffo-Addo Sunshine House is the name of the facility. It has been equipped with playing ground, pantry, kitchen, washing machine, and many more. This will help reduce the cost and risk associated with parents who travel with these children to attend sessions all the time.
