Kotoka International Airport records six COVID-19 cases since reopening

Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, says six new coronavirus cases have been recorded at the Kotoka International Airport, since its reopening.

He said the first case was recorded last Friday, September 4, two others on Saturday, September 5, and the remaining three were recorded Sunday, September 6.

According to Dr. Okoe-Boye, these individuals had reported with a negative PCR test from their countries of origin.

He stated that the cases were detected because of the $150 Covid-19 antigen test fee government insisted on for travelers.

Dr Okoe Boye said any passenger who fails to pay the $150 for the PCR test will be detained by National Security.
