The 2020 Manifesto of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is ready, former president John Mahama has announced.

The flagbearer of the major opposition party in Ghana, Mahama received copies of the policy document on July 1, 2020 at his office.

In a brief remark, Mr. Mahama said the document dubbed ‘The People’s Manifesto’ “will represent the NDC and my social contract with the good people of Ghana.”

“I thank you all for your contributions to the compilation, and as I have promised, I look forward to the Policy Dialogue Series through which I will be sharing details of the various sectors and themes of the Manifesto,” he added in a Facebook post.

The manifesto is expected to be outdoored in August.

Speaking at a press conference last week, the NDC Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi said the manifesto, which is the party’s vision for Ghana will highlight key programmes that will be better alternatives to the governance of Nana Akufo-Addo.

“It is worth noting, that we shall be outdooring our manifesto for the 2020 general elections in August. But even before that, the flagbearer and leader of the NDC will in the coming days announce some big-ticket policies which are central to his transformational vision for this country,” he said.
