For the first time in 26 years, the National Science and Maths Quiz would be held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the Ashanti region the capital of Kumasi.
With 81 schools ready to slug it out for the 27 quartile final spots, the tying stage of the NSMQ will begin today.
The competition is going to be among the 27 schools from the 2020 edition of the national contest against the 39 qualifiers and 15 runners-up from the prelim stage.
The competition would be started by the Holy Child School, Sonrise SHS, and Kumasi High School at the Kumapley auditorium at KNUST.
Also, Presec Legon, the reigning champions are still yearning to make a third consecutive appearance at the grand finale come 26 November and win their 7th trophy.
The National Science and Maths Quiz is produced by Primetime Limited and sponsored by the Ghana Education Service in partnership with Absa.
