Good morning 🌞 Sweet Holy Spirit
“If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:”
1 John 1:6 ASV
If I do anything contrary to what is termed as light 💡, I’m a liar and I’m living in deception .
Because if I claim to have communion with God and the Holy Spirit and I’m still living in sin then it’s a lie . This scripture is to serve as a reminder for us to make a conscious effort to walk circumspectly.
It is to help you live out of sin , it instills a holy fear in you to want to do the right thing .
Because God doesn’t love to dwell in sin likewise the Holy Spirit, they both hate sin.
They do not hate you but the filth , sin , transgressions and iniquities are what they hate .
That’s why they try (God and Holy Spirit) try to call out to you anytime you’re going to fall to sin
That inner voice
That still small voice
That uncomfortable 😣 feeling
Sadness cannot be reciprocated for repentance .That’s why the Bible urges us to confess our sins whenever we commit it, it’s only by the confession of our sins with our mouths that we will be saved .
Once you call the sin by it’s name ,the power it has over you looses.
The sin and weight that easily besets us help us Lord to be able to overcome them .
Give us strength to carry on as Christian soldiers even when we get tired , May we not lose sight of the cross you died on for our sins. That is the only place we can draw our strength from .
