Today is International Mother’s Day 2020. With a heart full of JOY, PRAISE and THANKSGIVING to the Almighty, I warmly bring to ALL MOTHERS this short message from the WESLEY HOUSE on behalf of the people called METHODISTS.
This is a day of THANKSGIVING to God from whom all good things come from; and for the GIFT of MOTHERHOOD. Again, ours is one of celebrating our Mothers living or dead all over the world.
Let us all take a moment to say thank you to all our noble women in our lives who love us. Here we celebrate all mothers, BIOLOGICAL moms, ADOPTIVE moms, and FOSTER moms; SINGLE moms, GRANDMAS and GODMOTHERS; aunts and mentors and our sisters.
2020 Mother’s Day celebration, is very unique because like all other celebrations this year it is being observed without the funfair and feasting. Celebrating mothers in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic DOES NOT make it INSIGNIFICANT but WORTH celebrating to honour you all. Staying at home and properly observing the protocols on Covid 19, gives us more opportunity to learn and experience you the more.
We dedicate today, to thanking our mothers for their tireless efforts, contributions, unconditional love, and sacrifices made for the growth and welfare of society. We celebrate and honour the embodiment of love. Sweet Mother we love you.
We are celebrating you today and every year because before our birth you gave us our first self-contained houses free of charge, and from our first moments in this world and throughout our lives, you mothers protect us from harm, nurture our spirits, and encourage us to reach for our highest dreams. Through your strong commitment, you have nurtured leaders for our nations. Ayekoo and Ayekoo
We celebrate you because you have been the hand to hold together with God in the critical and joyful moments. By that act you have guided us to walk on to the new paths leading to greater heights. On this great day we salute you, Mothers.
Motherhood is a 24 hours job but we can call it a life time job because even when you are no longer breast feeding and others, you still cover us with your prayers and blessings; can one say thank you enough for this? Mama Ayekoo

May God bless all the Mothers that give of themselves and tend to their household needs before the needs of self, may the Lord grant them the grace to go through motherhood with joy.
