The 2022 budget statement and economic policy were presented before Parliament by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta on Wednesday 17th, 2021. During the reading, the government announced the abolishment of tolls on all public roads in the country.
According to the Minister, the government has observed the toll booth are doing more harm than good hence they need to remove them.
He said the toll booth causes heavy traffic and impact negatively on productivity.
The government has abolished all tolls on public roads and bridges. This takes effect immediately after the budget is approved “said the Finance Minister” this is to address the challenges
