Additionally, busts of the late Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey, a former Minister of Tourism and his late Special Assistant, Mr Ferdinand Ayim, who, together with Walter Nesser, initiated the event in 2005, were unveiled.

The Odweanoma Paragliding site has been upgraded to the status of a model event ground for recreational activities.

The Odweanoma paragliding site plays host to patrons of the biannual paragliding festival in the country.

It is one of the flagship events on the tourism calendar.

It is organised twice every year by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) during the Easter festivities.

There is also a corporate paragliding event held in September.
