[Video] Savannah: NDC embarks on an Azorka-led ‘No JM, No Peace’ demo

The leadership of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savannah Region has hit the street in a protest of the 2020 parliamentary and presidential results.

They are seeking to express disgust at what they describe as a look warm attitude by the Electoral Commission of Ghana for failing to declare John Mahama as the winner of the December 7 elections.

The angry supporters led by the party’s first Vice-Chairman, Sofo Azorka who were in an all-red attire were chanting war songs while burning lorry tyres to register their displeasure.

The demonstration which was earlier slated for Monday, December 21 was canceled after police in Buipe secured an injunction to call the demonstration off.

Meanwhile, a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, Gonjaland Youth for Peace and Development in the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency has also scheduled Thursday, December 24 to embark on a peace walk in Buipe to call on the flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama to concede defeat or seek redress at the Supreme Court on his electoral
