The draw for the final tournament, which runs between January 9, 2022, and February 6, 2022, next year, was conducted in the Cameroonian capital of Yaounde on Tuesday evening. The Black Stars of Ghana was drawn in Group C.
The Black Stars have been paired with Morocco, Comoros, and Gabon and will be facing Morocco in their opening game at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde.
Then switch attention to face Gabon in their second game on January 14 before wrapping up their group stage with a tie against the Comoros Island who is set to make their debut appearance at the tournament
Ghana will be searching for its fifth tournament title and the first since 1982.
The Black Stars will hope to make amends for a disappointment out in Egypt in 2019 where they were out of the competition at the round of 16. And it was their first time since 2006 failing to reach the quarter-final of the tournament.
