President Akufo-Addo has extended Ghana’s border closure by another two weeks effective Sunday, April 5, 2020.
Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah made the announcement in a tweet saying:
President Akufo-Addo during an address to the nation on March 21, 2020, announced total closure of Ghana’s borders as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This closure will not apply to goods, supplies and cargo,” he said.
Ghana has so far recorded 205 COVID-19 cases with five deaths.
