Son of Afrobeat originator and icon, Fela Kuti, known in the music industry as Seun Kuti has descended heavily on fans of Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid for trolling him for not winning a Grammy after being nominated some time back. In a social media post, he said :
” There are only 4 musicians in Nigeria whose music has been nominated by the Grammy’s. If that annoys you its not my fault. Album no be music video. Your favourite will also one day by the ancestors grace make music that will be recognized. I am dedicating today to you children “
Musician Wizkid though in the center of the controversy has however come to hail the Afrobeat legend. In his social media post he said:
“no mind them jare. Get the sax and make some music brother.. We all enjoyed ur last album we still dey dance like this”
We hope for a collaboration from them soon.
