Coach Charles Kobina Akunor has been appointed coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
CK Akunor was appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following a discussion on the selection of a successor for Kwasi Appiah according to multiple reports in the local media.
The former Ghana captain was appointed as deputy coach of the Black Stars by head Coach Kwasi Appiah in October last year where he helped Ghana record two straight wins in the 2021 Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in November.
