The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that its Short Message Service (SMS) will be operational from Friday 18 September to 25th September 2020.
According to the Commission, the SMS platform has been put in place to enable registered voters access their registration details.
In a statement, the Commission encouraged “prospective voters should simply text their voter ID card number to Short code 1422 to access their details.”
“The Commission wishes to inform those who accessed the service before the commencement date that, their details will be sent to them once the service is activated. As such they do not need to re-access the service,” it said.
