BEREKUM CHELSEA VS INTER ALLIES FC

Berekum Chelsea were left licking their wounds after Victorien Adebayor and his army handed them an embarrassing loss in their match day 10 fixture at their fortress. Just before the blast of the whistle by referee Frederick Samena, both teams heckled each other for space inside the center circle for “prayers”, obviously for superstitious reasons. However the gods of football rather smiled at Inter Allies as they triumphed over Berekum Chelsea.

Victorian Adebayor scored a sumptuous freekick in the 32nd minute with the ball going through the legs of Ibrahim Danlad. Inter Allies were dominant in the game and managed to get their second goal just after the commencement of second half in the 47th minute through Samuel Armah.

Berekum Chelsea looked a pale shadow of themselves as they struggled in their own back yard. They however managed to pull one goal back through Augustine Henneh in the 62nd minute.

Inter Allies had other ideas and finally put the nail in the coffin of their opponent when MVP of the game Victorian Adebayor scored his second of the day in the 84th minute. Fans of the home team were left disappointed, as they wondered what could have caused their embarrassing defeat.

Their lead was cut short in the 17th minutes when MVP of the match Mubarak Alhasan equalized for the Scientific Soccer Lads. Yahyah Mohammed sent the visitors ahead once again with a brilliant goal in the 25th minute to make it 1-2. That goal was short lived as Liberty were awarded a penalty when Abraham Wayo was brought down in the box. Elvis Kyei Baffour coolly converted to make it 2-2 in the 26th minute. HEARTS OF OAK VS BECHEM UNITED

Hearts of Oak proved their never say die spirit to be true when they put up a spirited performance to win against a very stubborn Bechem United. In a game which many claim was nearly marred with poor officiating, it didn’t take long for Hearts to create some decent goal scoring chances but wasted them all. Bechem United were awarded a penalty and was coolly converted by Prince Adu Kwabena in the 28th minute. Kofi Kodzi leveled matters from a spot kick in the 32nd minute to make it 1-1 at the end of half time.

Bechem United definitely came to Accra to intentionally frustrate the Phobia boys as they kept using time wasting tactics as the game went on. Emmanuel Asante received a yellow card in the 53rd minute for that some of the delay antics. Hearts went 2-1 ahead in the 64th minute with some quick thinking by Emmanuel Nettey, who cleverly found the captain of the side Fatawu Mohammed from a short corner.

Bechem United bounced back after the defence of Hearts of Oak went to sleep and were punished by Hafiz Konkoni in the 75th minutes to level the score at 2-2. At this point in the game, the Bechem United guys were seriously frustrating the home side with their time wasting tactics.

However, in stoppage time and with virtually the last kick of the game, Kofi Kodzi headed home a cross from Emmanuel Nettey, to make it 3-2 at the end of proceedings at the Accra Sports Stadium to bag the maximum points for the Phobians.
