The Ghana Private Road Transport Union, GPRTU says it is aware that some of its members have refused to comply with the 10% reduction in transport fares and has called on the public to remain calm while the enforcement team does its work.

This is because the enforcement team does not work on weekends as the 10% reduction came into effect on Saturday, August 1. He spoke to Nathaniel Nartey.

The 10% reduction followed a 15% increment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means passengers still have to pay five percent more.  Mr. Sabah explained the calculation of the new fares.
