Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Nanton Constituency, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed has admitted that no Ghanaian politician will pass if they are to be tested morally.
Speaking in an interview on TV3 monitored by My News Ghana, he said that the bar of morality is too high for any politician to meet.
“No politician can stand the morality test. If you want to talk about morality you must be very very careful,” he said.
The Minister of Information, Hon. Vincent Kojo Oppong Nkrumah last week used the famous “papano” word to describe Hon. Abu Jinapor on the floor of parliament which didn’t go down well with the minority leader Haruna Idrissu who threatened to stop recognizing the Minister of Information as a minister if he didn’t retract his words.
Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in an attempt to defend his use of the word said that his words did not carry any seriousness and that he used the jargon in jest.
His words have sparked allegations and accusations from political activist Kwame A-Plus and leading members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
