Not the right time to play in Ghana League – Kwadwo Asamoah

Ghanaian International Kwadwo Asamoah has said the time has not come for him to play in the Ghana Premier League.

Asamoah who is currently a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Inter Millan is not thinking of returning back home now to play in Ghana’s top-flight.

“In the future, I won’t mind going there (to Ghana) and play football, but this is not the right time for me to do so” he said in an interview with BBC Sports Africa.

The former Inter Millan player who started his youth career at Asokwa Deportivo indicated that going back home to play would mean a lot to him and impacting football back home with his experience garnered in Europe.

“For me it would mean to go back and support Ghana’s football, to encourage the young one’s, share my experiences in Europe with them and give something back” he added.
