A delegation sent by the government to convince the Okuapehemaa, Nana Obuo Nketiaa to accept the legitimacy of the Paramountcy of the newly installed Okuapemhene has been unsuccessful.
The government delegation led by the Executive Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, offered the Okuapehemaa a flock of ram, an undisclosed amount of money and other items but the Queen mother rejected the items.
The Queen mother oppose to the legitimacy Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo II. She has refused to accept the offer from the government to let go and accept the newly installed chief.
Ghana News Express has gathered that the government sent the closest maternal royal relatives to the queen mother but failed to reach a settlement.
The Queen mother has issues with some political actors whom she believes mastermind the installation of Nana Kwesi Akuffo without following proper procedures.
