Parliament reconvenes today

The Second Meeting of the fourth Session of the 7th Parliament is scheduled to take place today Tuesday may 19, 2020.

During this meeting, a total of thirty-six Bills are expected to be presented to the House. These include the Affirmative Action Bill, Criminal Offences Amendment Bill and Value Added Tax Amendment Bill.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Kate Addo.

The statement said eighteen (18) Bills currently at the Committee level are expected to be worked on during this meeting.

These also include the Public Universities Bill 2020, Exemptions Bill 2019, and the Intestate Succession Bill 2018.

Meanwhile, the House is assuring members that it will observe the social distancing protocol during the meeting.
