Stop helping illegal migrants cross into Ghana or face consequences- Immigration Service

Local News

The Ghana Immigration Service has urged residents along the Ghana’s borders to comply with directives aimed at combating COVID-19.

A statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs, Superintendent Michael Amoako-Atta, stated that all borders remain closed to human traffic until further notice.

It therefore urges residents to cooperate as well as volunteer information to the Immigration Service about persons who aid and abet illegal entry into the country to enable the Service to apprehend such persons.

The Ghana Immigration Service wishes to assure the public that it will continue to secure the borders against illegal entry as part of national response to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
