President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday together watched the final day of hearing on the election petition filed by John Dramani Mahama.
The two foremost gentlemen of Ghana watched from the office space of the president.
After a two-hour-long reading of the judgment, Chief Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah threw out the petition by Mr. Mahama and upheld the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as the winner of the December 7, 2020 elections.
Immediately after the judgment, Dr. Bawumia rose from his chair to congratulate his, boss, a scene that played out in 2013, when then-Vice President, the late Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, joined then President Mahama to congratulate him in his office at the then Flagstaff House.
