Social commentator, Mr. Kwabena Bomfeh, a regular guest on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show has revealed that Former President Mahama’s allegations of the EC rigging the 2020 elections is gibberish.
According to Mr. Bomfeh, also known as Kabila, Mr. Mahama and the NDC’s allegations against the Electoral Commission is unfounded and should not be given any hearing.
Speaking on Peace FM’s morning show on Wednesday, November 25, the learned Social commentator and former member of the Conventions People’s Party, stated that, if the electoral commission is capable of rigging elections, then why is Mr. John Mahama a former president now.
According to him, if the electoral commission has the capacity to rig elections, then there was no way former President Mahama could become a former President now.
He said;
If the electoral commission is capable of rigging the election to favour the incumbent, how come the title ‘former‘ is attached to your name today? I am asking former President Mahama. Is it possible that the EC could rig elections in favour of the incumbent, if so, then why didn’t the EC rig the elections in 2016 but rather, the word “former” has been attached to your name?
According to Mr. Kabila, the allegations wouldn’t hold water because the results are not only collated by the Electoral Commission. The various media houses also collate the results which tend to tally with the final results by the Electoral Commission.
