2022 WCQ: Kudus, Partey, and Duncan return as Rajevac names squad for Zimbabwe games

Sports

Arsenal’s Thomas Partey, Ajax’s Kudus Mohammed, and Fiorentina’s Alfred Duncan have been named in coach Milovan Rajevac’s provisional 32-man provisional squad to face Zimbabwe in two FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.

Partey and Kudus missed Ghana’s games against Ethiopia and South Africa earlier this month due to injury while Duncan was left out by then-head coach CK Akonnor.

The list includes Swindon Town FC goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott – a 26-year-old shot-stopper who has been given his first international call-up.

Asante Kotoko youngster Danlad Ibrahim makes a return to the squad.

Ghana host Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Stadium on October 9 before traveling to Harare for the reverse fixture on October 12, 2021.
