Aduana Stars record second consecutive victory

In Dormaa, Paa Kwesi Fabin is cooking something special. His team has won two games in a row so far after Aduana Stars defeated King Faisal 3-2. They will try to maintain this form until they run into one of the big boys.

Newboys Samartex stay unbeaten.
Two points, two games. Unbeaten, yet without a victory. Samartex are making modest progress while putting on inspiring performances, making them a difficult team to break down. At Tarkwa’s Akoon Park, Samartex managed to hold Berekum Chelsea to a draw. The game’s only goals were scored in an entertaining first half. How long will this unbeaten run last? We watch and wait.

The Yellow wave rises amidst the storm.

This time, Medeama SC had to work a little harder to earn their second league triumph. Real Tamale United, their opponents, gave them a tough time, having taken a two-goal lead into halftime. But winners never give up; in the second half, the Mauve and Yellow overcame adversity to win this game 3-2.  A true test of Medeama’s character might work in their favor as the season progresses.

Dreams keep on believing.
Amongst only the few sides to have a 100% record this season after two games, Dream FC recorded a narrow victory over Kotoku Royals to stay in the top 4 after two games. The ‘Still Believe’ side’s defence is yet to be breached this season. But that record will definitely be tested in the coming days.

Massive result for Accra Lions.

Accra Lions recorded a massive result at home by defeating Karela United FC 2-1. After finishing 12th in the league in their maiden season, the Accra-based side showed they will not be mere pushovers. Their result against a side that finished 4th last season, shows that they mean business this season and they will be destined to maintain their Premier League status at the end of the season.

The Phobians deny the Land Lords victory in city derby.

The Mantse derby, which was intended to replace our regular Special Omotuo Sundays, saw the Oly Dade Boys square off against their city rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak, in front of a nearly jammed Accra Sports Stadium. Razak Yussif gave the Olympics an early lead in the second half, but the Phobians managed to ruin the fun as usual. Hearts of Oak’s newest darling boy, Konadu Yiadom, picked the perfect day to score his debut goal for his new team. His strike in the 89th minute rescued a point for the Phobians.
