The citizens do not want the filling station to be built in the midst of the town because of a fire incident they witnessed before, which occurred as a result of wrongful siting of a filling station in the country.

A member of the community Efo Komla Mensah said 50 trips of gravel were offloaded by an unknown person. The gravels were poured close to a house near the roadside in the town which denied a lot of people accessing their homes.

‘We have heard in many parts of this country where filling stations caused damage to lives and properties. We are also equally aware of the rules and regulations guiding the establishment of fuel stations in this country. We shall, therefore, not lose guard and allow such a facility to destroy our lives and property in the future ‘ The leader of the concerned citizens said.
