First-timers to be vaccinated with the Moderna by Ghana Health Service.

Until now, Ghanaians have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

However, starting today, 5 November 2021 the Ghana Health Service will commence the administering of the Moderna vaccines to those yet to receive the Covid-19 jabs. The exercise is timelined to end on Wednesday, 10 November.

This is in line with the aim of the government to vaccinate about 20 million of the adult population by the end of 2021. Places will be mounted in Accra at known points and health facilities to consummate the exercise.

The vaccine will be issued to persons who are 18 years and above.

Additionally, the Pzifer vaccines are also expected to be administered soon.
