INTER ALLIES vs WAFA

Bottom ranked team Inter Allies recorded their first point in 7 games (1 out of a possible 21 points) in match day 14 against co-strugglers Liberty Professionals. There were many positive points from that game for the 11 is to 1 side. They needed a late equalizer from Hashmin Musah to claim that precious point at Dansoman. Head Coach Dani Mujkanovic was slightly impressed with his side who left it late.  The coach believes that the youth in attack is what may be slowing their offensive progress but promised that they will be out of the woods sooner than later.

WAFA have just 1 win in their last 5 games and 5 points from 15 available. Their away form leaves much to be desired. The nature of opponents’ pitches is the problem for them, according to coach Prosper Nartey Ogum. Their display at Ashgold was one of the few positive points away from home this season with Godwin Agbevor being named man of the match for his exploits. Against the bottom side of the GPL, they should not face much of a problem dispatching them.

BEREKUM CHELSEA vs DREAMS FC

Berekum Chelsea hosts a rejuvenated Dreams FC side in match week 15. The Berekum Lads will be faced with another test to extend their unbeaten home run this season. The Golden City Park has proved a tough place visiting teams and has kept the home side from slipping into the relegation zone. Dreams will prove a tough customer as they have managed to pick up points in the home grounds of Bechem United and King Faisal. The Blues must be wary of the threat that their opponents possess.

Coach Vladislav Viric seem to have brought some magic to the Dreams FC as they are unbeaten in 8 straight games and scoring 19 in the process. Talisman and former Hearts player Joseph Esso has found his scoring boots with 7 goals so far. They have managed to pick points from their games against King Faisal and Bechem United, all away from home. They are currently placed 3rd on the table and are just 2 points behind leaders Karela United. It is not farfetched to say that the Dreams team has received the Viric’s touch and have seen a complete turnaround. Dreams can cause an upset by handing Bechem their first home defeat of the season.

ELMINA SHARKS vs MEDEAMA

Elmina Sharks’ rosy but unproductive football has all but come to a grinding halt after they hit a snag in that loss against Great Olympics on match day 14, admitted coach Yaw Acheampong. It was the first time the sharks had lost a game without even scoring, compounding their woes of just 1 win in 9. Their 3 wins this campaign have come at their fortress Nduom Park where they remain unbeaten, but rather unlike them, have recorded back-to-back draws at the said venue. Surely, a feat they quickly need to turn around. Shot stopper, Lord Bawa Martey will be boosted by his latest call up to the Black Stars team and will be looking to keep a first clean sheet at home in 5 games: a requisite in their dire need of a victory.

Medeama Sc come into this fixture with flourishing news all round. 3 of their players in Eric Ofori Antwi, Justice Blay and Rashid Nortey were called up into the senior national team. Also, they finally got the green light to include marquee and veteran GPL forwards, Ahmed Toure and Prince Opoku Agyeman in their squads, and both will be a relishing a triple attack frontier with the danger man Abass Mohammed. The Mauve and Yellow sit 7th on the log, just 5 points adrift 1st place and come into this game after an impressive win over Bechem United. Though they are averaging a win every 2 games this calendar year, it has been their away form that has caused their downward spiral at times, with 5 points in 7 games. A feat they quickly need to turn around.

BECHEM UNITED vs LEGON CITIES

This is yet another interesting home fixture for Bechem United as they look to stretch that unbeaten home run this season. This Bechem side rarely disappoints in their home grounds as they are yet to lose. Coach Danso and his boys always glitter at home and that has helped them place 5th on the log with just 3points behind leaders Karela. Their last home game saw them smash Accra Great Olympics 3-1 with Clinton Duodo picking up the MVP.

A transformed Legon Cities Side will travel to face Bechem to search for their second away win of the season. Coach Bashir Hayford and his lads have seen a steady growth in form, as they have not lost in their last five games. After an impressive 5-2 win against Ashgold in their match day 10 fixture, they have shown a great deal of promise in every match they’ve played, amassing 9 points out of a possible 15. HEARTS OF OAK vs EBUSUA DWARFS

The struggles of Hearts of Oak off and on the pitch continues as they prepare to host Ebusua Dwarfs in match day 15. Supporters are yet to come to terms with what they describe as poor management of the club by the board which has seen the departure of Coach Kosta Papic. The team needs to put behind them the off the pitch incidents and concentrate and the game. The team cannot avoid the wrath of the livid supporters if they fail to win this match. The team currently in winless in four games and another loss can send them just one place above the relegation zone. The team has all to play for to temporarily calm the roaring storm within the Hearts of Oak set up.

Ebusua Dwarfs will be ever glad to plunge Hearts into further misery if they manage to win this game. The team has lost just once in their last five matches and are in pole position to secure a win against their opponents. The likes of Benjamin Acquah and his teammates have proved they are no push overs in any match they play. Although they were pipped 2-1 by Karela United at home in their last fixture, they’ve lost just one away fixture this season. This gives Hearts a tough hurdle to cross as they come up against a very stubborn Dwarfs side.
