ASANTE KOTOKO vs WAFA
Kotoko’s title charge hit an unexpected snag when they were forced to share the spoils with Liberty Professionals who are in the relegation zone. Controversy from the Augustine Okrah goal will have to be put away and total focus given to this tricky WAFA side. They managed to record their second away win of the season against a strong Medeama SC side, who outclassed the porcupine warriors at the same venue for this match day 26 encounter.
WAFA have seen a relative change in form, with 4 wins in their last 5 games. Medeama, Legon Cities, Berekum Chelsea and Eleven Wonders have been put to the sword in their recent encounters. Their away form hoodoo seems to be clearing, despite the difficult clash at Obuasi against league leaders, Kotoko. OLYMPICS vs INTER ALLIES
The wonder club have fallen from their previous perch (among the top 4 teams). Settling in at 5th, they face bottom side Inter Allies this weekend. The prospect may not be as daunting, but their form must be improved if they wish to even be among the top four teams in the country. Optimism has been high since the return of Coach Annor Walker and that crestwave will have to be ridden to get back to winnings ways.
Inter Allies are far from where they were at this point last season. That notwithstanding, in the last couple of weeks, they have been able to close the gap on their fellow relegation strugglers. A win can push them away from the bottom of the table. Their 5-0 mauling of Berekum Chelsea was astonishing to say the least. All eyes will be on them to see if this feat can be repeated in any way. Olympics will be a sterner test.

Linchpin Kwame Preprah was on the score sheet again after a barren spell in 9 games and will be boosted in finding back his stellar form at one point during this campaign. LEGON CITIES vs ADUANA STARS
Accra-based Legon Cities have pushed themselves away from the relegation zone since, despite their patchy performances. Sogakope was a tough fixture against WAFA, as everyone knows, and losing was the undesirable but inevitable outcome of that match day 25 game. With news of their FA Cup opponent spreading, in the light of how comfortable they will be with the opponents – Uncle T FC, Aduana Stars present a totally different prospect – one that poses a threat to their premier league existence if they are not wary of the fire boys.
Aduana Stars have climbed into sixth place on the league table and are separated from top spot by only 6 points. 3 wins on the trot, and a turnaround from the Bechem debacle, where they shipped in 4 unanswered goals has been their propeller to the top echelons of the table. Performances like the one against Medeama, a fellow title contender will come in handy in a fixture against a side avoiding the drop.

DREAMS FC vs BECHEM UNITED
The believers, who were once a team to avoid at the start of the year, have sunk into seventh place. That notwithstanding, they are 7 points off the top spot. Their form is patchy to say the least but their home has been impregnable since Matchday 18. They have scored 6 goals at home, after the loss to Olympics on matchday 17. Against Bechem who have a poor traveling form, they may fancy their chances to grab the points.
Bechem United have one of the poorest away forms. Based on away points only, they would have been lying fifteenth on the table. Their goal difference away from home is also the most unwanted in the league: -21 is the goals difference which casts a slur on their away performances. The Hafiz Konkoni injury, which keeps the striker out for virtually the rest of the season has been their bane and away from home, the terrible patch may continue.

MEDEAMA vs ASHANTI GOLD
Both teams will want to at least finish in the Top Four of the league table. Medeama SC have enjoyed some few weeks at the top. They are now 4th just five points behind league leaders Kotoko. Defeat to WAFA at home and the disappointing draw in Sogakope against Liberty made their hopes of clinching the trophy a difficult one hence the drop. Ashanti Gold are 9th on the league table and six points behind Medeama. The Miners come into this game after their narrow victory against Accra Great Olympics in Obuasi. Ashgold have lost two and drawn one in their last three away trips hence making the trip to Tarkwa an exceedingly difficult one.
Medeama have been extraordinarily strong at home this second half of the season. The Mauve and Yellow army have won three of their last four home games and have scored at least a goal in each of the four home fixtures. They have also managed to cope well in the absence of Justice Blay who have been sideline due to injury. Playing in front of their cheering fans, pressure will be on Medeama to win this match convincingly. Trust Yaw Preko to keep to his tactics and probably grab a win. Trust Prince Opoku Agyeman to score at home but the defense of Medeama should be very discipline at the back so as not to concede goals easily like we have seen in their last few games. Fatawu Suleman is gradually gaining the applause from the fans for his hard work and efforts.
Ashgold will want to sit back and absorb the pressure and possibly bounce on the host with a counter with their finest attacking midfield machinery in the likes of David Abagna. Abagna has been on fine form this season, scoring important goals and giving assist when it matters. The former Wa All Stars and former league winner has been fantastic for the Miners this season.

EBUSUA DWARFS vs LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS
Embattled Ebusua Dwarfs are biting their fingers from the punitive measures meted out to them as a fallout from their match against Legon Cities. Minus 3 points and losing points and goals to a team in a similar fate as theirs on the league table is the last thing, they would have wanted to happen to them. They must still look forward to the remaining games of the season. After Liberty, they travel to WAFA and then host Aduana Stars, all these teams are above Liberty and will present a tougher opposition. Maximum points in this game are non-negotiable.
Liberty look rejuvenated after they snatched a point from the league leaders coming into match day 26. Five points from five games is not ideal enough to lift one out of the relegation zone. A trip to a desperate Ebusua Dwarfs side is not a comfortable prospect. All is not lost though. They may seek to capitalize on the current destabilized state of the Cape Coasters to steal something out of the game.
