POWER OF WORDS

Morning Devotion

“Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?” It doesn’t say, ‘where the word is, there is power’.
(ECCLESIASTES 8:4)

The focus of our anchor passage is on the king, for his word has authority behind it.

Let a king speak the word and his subjects scramble.
But let a subject speak the word under their own authority and see what happens.
Without power, words mean nothing. There is only one source of ‘power words’ that can be spoken. The word is God’s alone.
This authority is given to believers to proclaim God’s word.

It is true that Satanic agents can also speak words that can have effect on the unbelievers. This is not what I am dealing with in today’s devotion. In fact, all power and authority belongs to God. Consider this passage, Psalm 62:11 “God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.”

The word of power belongs to God, and He has given the Church authority to speak on his behalf, and to make disciples for Him.

My words have power to accomplish what I say, when I speak the word of God charged with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Your words can also open the door for the enemy to act against you. David was fully aware of this, listen to him, “…I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.”
(Psalm 39:1).

Words have power to create good or bad, We should be careful what we say.
We should intentionally speak our Godly desire, keep speaking and believe God to bring it to pass.

Obey all the medical protocols but DECLARE BOLDLY THAT THIS VIRUS IS FAR FROM YOUR DWELLINGS.

SHALOM.
